About South Florida Condo Trends

Welcome to South Florida Condo Trends.

I created this site because I believe buying or owning a condominium should be based on more than listings, photos, and recent sales. Every condominium building has its own story—its construction, financial health, maintenance history, and unique characteristics—and finding that information is often difficult.

During my career, I worked as a systems engineer in the defense industry, where I was responsible for understanding complex technical specifications and managing large engineering projects. That experience taught me the importance of analyzing data, asking the right questions, and making decisions based on facts rather than assumptions.

Later, I served on the board of directors of a South Florida condominium as a director and president. Working with engineers, contractors, attorneys, accountants, property managers, and fellow board members gave me a firsthand understanding of the challenges condominium communities face. I saw how decisions about reserves, building maintenance, major capital projects, insurance, and long-term planning directly affect both property values and owners' quality of life.

Those experiences inspired me to create SouthFlorida Condo Trends.

My goal is to build a trusted resource that helps buyers, owners, investors, and real estate professionals better understand South Florida condominium buildings. In addition to sales history and market data, South Florida Condo Trends is expanding to include building intelligence such as stack diagrams, engineering and maintenance topics, financing information, educational articles, and other insights that help explain what makes one building different from another.

The articles in the Insights section reflect both research and practical experience. My goal is not to offer legal, engineering, or financial advice, but to explain complex condominium topics in a way that is accurate, balanced, and easy to understand.
